So the year of turning 40 is drawing to a close and I’m gearing up for 41. I’d have to say it was an amazing year. Stuck with my new healthy lifestyle more yes than not, maintained my weight loss, got control of my thyroid, and so much more. Managed to take vacations and go out with friends while being gluten free. My family and friends rallied around me to make sure I always have something to eat and am not contaminated. Recharged to go into 2014 ready to exercise more, cook more, and enjoy life a whole lot more. Happy New Year to all and Happy Birthday to me!

Exercise Crossfit 3x week, run 2x week, tennis 1x week, 
Meal Prep meal plan 1x week, food shop 2x week, prep/cook 2x week
Healthy Eating protein w/every meal, vegetables w/main meals, 72oz water a day, food sharing with Brooke 1-2x week

Oh yeah. Phase 2 is on! Starting GFit trial at the end of the month, getting back into running, incorporating strength training circuit 2x a week. Meal planning and food sharing-accountability! Losing another 10!

I wore a bathing suit today for the first time in forever and I wore it proudly. My journey started in December when enough was enough. Clean eating and exercise have been my best friends and I’m down over twenty pounds. My kids compliments on my new suit and how I looked in it were reward enough. Last year I hid under the umbrella it the beach. This year I tore off the cover up with pride. Pics to come soon - need to tan these bare legs first.

I may be cheating on crossfit, but I just signed up to be a GFit Woman, whatever that means. Who could pass up a $2 for 2 months promo?! Not this girl.

Have not been getting my water in these days. Taking the big jug and making sure I at least drink all of it ensures I’ll get to drinking. As I always say, if you haven’t peed your pants lately, you probably aren’t drinking enough water.

So my daughter went to a Jewish overnight camp this summer. Have to be honest, while she was away (or maybe even all summer) we did not do Shabbat each week. She had some amazing Shabbat experiences while at camp and was eager to lead our family Shabbat to tonight. So I got the yummiest challah I could find, we say the prayers, sing, and everyone partakes…except me. Have to say I was really wanting that challah, but what’s a gluten free girl to do? I’m sure there are recipes out there, but will they compare with he egg challah goodness we have going on here?!

Dinner: Slow Cooker Southwestern 2 Bean Chicken topped with cheddar, greek yogurt, and avocado

This got to be my lunch today, minus the cheese and sour cream-it’s a kosher thing! Yum! It’s so great having clean eating friends to get you through the work week.
